The Douglas County Retardation Association is a private, non-profit, charitable 501(c)3 organization which was established in 1970 to advocate for and provide services to individuals with mental retardation.  DCRA is operated under the auspices of a voluntary Board of Directors.  Funding for programs is provided by contracts the agency has with the Georgia Department of Human Resources, HUD, United Way, Medicaid Waiver, and through donations.

DCRA is located in Douglasville, GA, and provides services to individuals in the metro Atlanta area.  Services provided include a day support program, residential services, a supported employment program, a volunteer program, advocacy, and a respite program.

DCRA programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
