
SERVICES PROVIDED
Supported Employment:
- Assit individuals with mental retardation in selecting appropriate employment.
- Provide individual training and support needed for consumers to maintain employment.
- Assist consumers in obtaining increased hours, benefits, and pay.
Residential Services:
- Provide residential services for people with mental retardation twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week.
- Assist individuals in community integration and self-sufficiency.
Day Support:
- These services provide training in skills needed to help consumers further their ability to function more independently in the community. The organization defines the scope of services based on the identitied needs and desires of the persons receiving services.
Respite:
- Provide a setting where families may leave their own person with mental retardation while they are involved in other activities.
- Prevent the need for out-of-home placement.
- Provide care and activities for individuals who are receiving respite.
FUNDING
DCRA programs are funded by contracts with state and federal agencies, Medicaid, United Way and private payees.
Donations from community, individuals, organizations, and businesses are used to enhance services and provide otherwise unavailable supports.
In an effort to assess effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction, DCRA engages in a continuing process of obtaining input from persons served and other stakeholders.
